Wabisabi is featured on Cork Independent!
One of the tastiest sushi and noodle bars in Cork is tucked away on 90 Oliver Plunkett Street, over O’Donovan’s Off Licence.
Wabisabi opened last July, showcasing a real taste of Japanese cuisine to the people of Cork. Set in a minimalist setting with Japanese ethnic interior stylings, the chefs at Wabisabi construct delicate sushi platters of cooked and raw delicacies.
The starter menus boast dishes like the Age gyoza; deep fried Japanese-style dumplings filled with chicken and garlic chives, and beef or tuna-filled tataki; a seared fillet of choice served with tangy ponzu sauce.
The popular Japanese tempura are regular favourites with a selection of Tempura Moriawase (king prawns, vegetable and salmon), Ebi Tempura (king prawn) and Yasai Tempura (vegetable).
